Kept me dry
I had my umbrella delivered to another address and was unable to get to it so after a few weeks I eventually was able to visit home and collect my package opened it and everything looked great. It's compact and light. Fits into a deep coat pocket. However I was using the umbrella for the first time in some light rain and I struggled a bit with opening it as in getting it to stay open it wouldnt click in. I thought it might just be me but my friend struggled also. When I eventually got it open and was holding it over me and my friend a light gust of wind literally turned it inside out! My friend held one side and I held the other with my free hand as it just seemed like the umbrella couldn't deal with a bit of light wind. I solely bought this umbrella because I was sick of cheap umbrellas turning inside out on me in the faintest whisper of wind and was genuinely disappointed when my new umbrella did the same. The website says it has wind protection which now I guess I don't really know what that means? is it an alternative way of avoiding stating it's windproof or resistant — which it obviously isn't. I would have returned it as it's not what I thought it to be at all but unfortunately I had it delivered to my parents and I was well out of the return time by the time I actually opened and used it. In light rain it kept us dry except for our hands which were holding it down and I haven't used it since so I can't really say how it deals with heavy rain or wind.
