Good features and capacity - straps functional but not comfortable 4

Bought recently for a train journey through France. Back straps not very comfortable but ok for short distances - wasnâ€™t obvious how to attach them initially- no instructions provided! Easy to pull using wheels however.
Don't buy it if you are using it as a backpack 2

I bought this suitcase because I wanted a trolley that could also be made a backpack. I travel a lot from very rural areas to cosmopolitan cities all around the world. The straps are quite fragile and only held to the trolley by little hooks which makes the straps sit uncomfortably on your shoulders. There will always be quite a big gap between your neck/shoulders and the body of the trolley which is utterly uncomfortable. It doesn't matter how tight you put the straps the hooks are inside the pocket so the gap is unavoidable. The straps also don't fit properly when you are not using them forcing you to put them inside the suitcase which makes it really inconvenient if you are on the go. The material of the suitcase keeps getting white marks any time it rubs against any fabrics. It's really pricey for what you are getting. I would not recommend this if you are planning on using the backpack. I was really looking forward to having a Samsonite but I'm pretty disappointed on the quality of this one. If anyone knows any other brands that make good trolley-backpacks let me know!
I would definitely buy another if I needed too 5

I used this for travel too two hot and humid climates South America and Asia and it has been the perfect travel companion reducing my need for hold luggage. It is well made and versatile.

Great for all use I have used it for short business trips so far and it's done the job perfectly. The fact you can double it up as a backpack is really useful for getting round in cities as you always have an extra hand free!

I've been looking for a weekend bag for a while and this is perfect. My only criticism is that it is too big - I keep over packing for weekends away because there is so much space. It also rolls really smoothly which is a nice bonus. I haven't used the backpack version yet but found it very easy to switch to the backpack set up when trying it.
